An Evidence-Based Approach to Adopting the GEDI Lens among Women and Queer-Represented Family Philanthropy in India and South Asia

This paper examines the landscape of family philanthropy in India and South Asia, with a focus on promoting gender equity. It illustrates how family philanthropy is emerging as a critical pathway for progress, especially as a new generation of inclusive and transformative philanthropists takes the lead. To support this shift, the paper proposes a Gender, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (GEDI) Framework to guide family philanthropists towards funding strategies that are gender-intentional and intersectional.
